Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. I'm a d-d-d-d-d-desert fish, I'm a seven-headed hydra

Answer: Guest List to Hell

'Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab' was released in 2014, and featured two of the original line-up, singer/guitarist Tommy Scott and keyboardist Franny Griffiths, along with three new members: Phil Hartley on bass, Allan Jones on drums and Ryan Clarke, a second keyboardist who left later in the year. It was crowdfunded via the site Pledgemusic, as was the follow-up, 'Give Me Your Future'.
2. Street gang, won't you let me pass you by?

Answer: Teardrops from the Moon

'Teardrops from the Moon', like many songs on 'Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab', started life as a song by the Drellas, the band Tommy formed with Phil Hartley, former Space drummer Leon Caffrey and cellist/keyboardist Sofie Roberts. It was originally much slower, and had a different name, as well as additional lyrics about guns.
3. I step a step to one side, I keep on, keep on falling back in your stride

Answer: Frightened Horses

'Frightened Horses' was one of the first tracks from 'Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab' to be premiered at the band's reunion gig in December 2011. Guitarist Jamie Murphy said it was one of his favourites. It was released as a taster for the album, with a black-and-white video.
4. I'm so jealous that I'm alive, but I'm too scared of suicide

Answer: She's in Love with the Boy in a Body Bag

Phil Hartley claimed that this song was far too rude to be released as a single! It was another of the album tracks to be premiered at the reunion gig in 2011, and features all of the five band members at the time of recording on vocals.
5. One more minute watching you, and I feel the same; one more minute hearing you, now I feel your pain

Answer: Crying on the Webcam

'Crying on the Webcam' was inspired by a video Tommy Scott saw of an American teenage girl holding up signs in front of a webcam, which told the story of her life and the various issues she had. Jamie Murphy originally sang the backing vocals live, but Franny Griffiths sang them instead after Murphy left.
6. She would sell anything, even herself; motorway services, she gets her fix

Answer: Happy Clowns

'Happy Clowns' was another former Drellas track, originally known as 'Gone in an Instant', then 'Cash Converters'. It is about heroin addiction, and is the only song on the album to be sung by a vocalist other than Tommy Scott (in this case, Ryan Clarke, though Scott did backing vocals).

After Clarke left, the band rested the track for a while, before bringing it back with Scott singing Clarke's part, and Franny Griffiths singing Scott's part.
7. Cobwebs, ectoplasm, a game of Scrabble or a fake orgasm

Answer: Armageddon

'Armageddon' is about heroin withdrawal. Fittingly, the band performed it at their Christmas gig on 21st December 2012, the date that conspiracy theorists claimed the world would end.
8. Just saw Pizza Hut smashed to the ground, Burger King annihilated, never to be found

Answer: Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab

'Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab' is actually a protest against chains taking over high streets. Tommy Scott came up with the concept of a mutant kebab from an independent shop running amok and destroying various high street stores in revenge, and, eventually, taking over the world. Primark, Next, Boots and Superdrug all get a mention as well.

The album's artwork features the monstrous kebab, painted by Scott.
9. You remain silent, won't look at me again, so I take a deep breath and try a new approach

Answer: Anthony's Brainwaves

'Anthony's Brainwaves' is another repurposed Drellas track. The original version is very, very different, and is much slower, while the version that made it onto 'Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab' is speeded up and has more of a ska/punk feel.
10. Linda slept with Larry, too much booze from the cash 'n' carry

Answer: Fortune Teller

'Fortune Teller' was the second single to be released from the album, with a video featuring one of Phil Hartley's friends as a clown, and his wife Emma as a fortune teller. It was filmed at the Camp and Furnace in Liverpool, and is about a couple coping with an unexpected pregnancy.
