Answer: 'The Saints'

This single was by "Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers", later to be known as The Beatles. This was the first Beatles record to be released in America. They were a back-up band for Tony Sheridan. It was released on April 23, 1962 on Decca Records.
2. What is the flip side of 'Please Please Me' for the February 25, 1963 release? (hint: The Beatles' American debut product)

Answer: 'Ask Me Why'

This single was passed around from EMI Records to Parlophone (a distributor of EMI) to Capitol Records (EMI's "American Arm") and to many others, but was finally taken by Vee Jay Records. It was released on February 25, 1963.

On May 27, 1963, Vee Jay released another Beatles single. This was the first Beatles single to make it on the Billboard charts. The highest it went was number 116, and it stayed there for only a few weeks.

This was released on December 26, 1963 in England and January 13, 1964 in the U.S. on Capitol Records.
7. What is the flip side of 'Please Please Me' for the January 30, 1964 release? (hint: the B side was also an A side for another single)

Answer: From Me To You

After being ignored for almost an entire year, 'Please Please Me' became a top hit, getting 24-hour air play, and rose to the top of many music charts. It made it to the number 3 position on Billboard, Cash Box, and Record World charts. 'From Me To You' did not make it on the Cash Box chart, but made it to number 41 on Billboard and number 46 on Record World.

This was released on January 30, 1964 on Vee Jay Records.
8. What is the flip side of 'I Feel Fine'?

Answer: 'She's A Woman'

This single was released around Christmas in 1964, and was a huge success for The Beatles. 'I Feel Fine' made it to the number 1 position on Billboard, Cash Box, and Record World charts. 'She's A Woman' made it to number 4 on the Billboard chart and number 8 on Cash Box and Record World charts. This was released on November 23, 1964 on Capitol Records.
9. What is the flip side of 'Penny Lane'?

Answer: Strawberry Fields Forever

Released on February 13, 1967 on Capitol Records, this was the most unique-sounding single the Beatles had released so far. 'Penny Lane' made it to the number 1 position on Billboard, Cash Box, and Record World charts. 'Strawberry Fields Forever' surprisingly only made it to number 8 on the Billboard chart, number 9 on the Record World chart, and number 11 on the Cash Box chart.
10. And last, but CERTAINLY not least... What is the flip side of 'Something'?

Answer: Come Together

This single was released on October 6, 1969 in England and October 13, 1969 in the U.S. on Apple Records. 'Something' made number 2 on Cash Box and number 3 on Billboard. 'Come Together' made it to number 1 on Cash Box, number 2 on Billboard, and the 'Something/ Come Together' as a double-sided single made it to number 1 on the Billboard chart and Record World chart.
