There is a Dore near Sheffield, England, but I doubt that the inhabitants are very Irish!

Answer: Clannad

It came out in 1973, but the master tapes went missing. (The album was apparently rereleased in 1982 as "The Pretty Maid".) A re-engineered version (with bonus track) was released in 1997. "Dúlamán" was released in 1976, "Crann Ull" in 1980 and "Macalla" in 1985.
