Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "In the days of my youth, I was told what it means to be a man Now I've reached that age, I've tried to do all those things the best I can." Which song started it all?

Answer: Good Times, Bad Times

"The song "Good Times, Bad Times" can be found on Led Zeppelin's debut album "Led Zeppelin" released in 1969. The first of many great albums to come, it reached Number six in the U.K. and Number ten in the U.S.
2. "Little drops of rain, whisper of the pain Tears of love lost in the days gone by My love is strong, with you there is no wrong Together we shall go until we die." Which classic tune is this?

Answer: Thank You

"Thank You" was featured on Led Zeppelin's second album "Led Zeppelin II" released in 1969. Was it Keith Moon or John Entwistle? The popular story about the origin of the band's name is still debated. Whoever coined the phrase to describe a bad gig as "Going down like a lead zeppelin," has earned their place in rock lore.
3. "Leaves are falling all around, time I was on my way Thanks to you, I'm much obliged For such a pleasant stay But now it's time for me to go The autumn moon lights my way For now I smell the rain, and with it's pain And it's headed my way." What track is this?

Answer: Ramble On

The song "Ramble On" can also be found on "Led Zeppelin II". Led Zeppelin's notorious manager, Peter Grant secured an advance of $200,000 from Atlantic Records in 1968 (at the time it was the biggest deal for a new band).
4. "The hammer of the gods, will drive our ships To new lands To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming! On we sweep with threshing oar, our only goal will be The western shore." What rockin' number is this?

Answer: Immigrant Song

"Immigrant Song" was featured on Led Zeppelin's third album "Led Zeppelin III" released in 1970. Dedicated to Leif Ericson, the song was inspired by the band's trip to Iceland in June of 1970.
5. "To find a Queen without a King They say she plays guitar and cries and sings... la la la la Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn Tryin' to find a woman who's never, never, never, been born." Which song is this?

Answer: Going To California

"Going To California" was featured on Led Zeppelin's fourth album "Led Zeppelin IV" released in 1971. Originally called "Guide To California," the song was about earthquakes. It later turned into a song about the search for a woman. At live shows it would be played during their acoustic sets.
6. "Vixen in my dreams, with great surprise to me Never thought I'd see your face The way it used to be Oh darlin', oh darlin'." Which cut is this?

Answer: Ten Years Gone

"Ten Years Gone" was featured on the album "Physical Graffiti" released in 1975. The building on the album cover is located at 96 and 98 St. Mark's Place in New York City. It was the same building Mick Jagger stood in front of in The Rolling Stones video "Waiting On A Friend."
7. "Oh father of the four winds, fill my sails, Across the sea of years With no provision but an open face, Along the straits of fear." Which tune is this?

Answer: Kashmir

The song "Kashmir" can also be found on "Physical Graffiti." With all four members claiming it as their best musical achievement, Robert Plant told Rolling Stone magazine in an 1988 interview that "Kashmir" was "The definitive Led Zeppelin song." Plant got his inspiration while driving through the Sahara Desert in Morocco. The song was originally titled "Driving To Kashmir."
8. "Sending off a glancing kiss To those who claim to know Below the streets that steam and hiss The devil's in his hole." Which song is this?

Answer: Achilles Last Stand

"Achilles Last Stand" can be found on Led Zeppelin's album "Presence" released in 1976. Wanting to return to their hard rock roots, "Presence" was their only studio album to not feature acoustic tracks or keyboards.
9. "Should I fall out of love, my fire in the light To chase the feather in the wind Within the glow that weaves a cloak of delight There moves a thread that has no end." Which song is this?

Answer: All My Love

The song "All My Love" can be found on Led Zeppelin's final studio album "In Through The Out Door" released in 1979. Plant wrote the song as a tribute to his five year old son Karac, who died from a stomach infection in 1977.
10. "In the evening when the sun is sinkin' low Everybody's with the one they love I walk the town, keep a-searchin' all around Lookin' for my street corner girl." What song is this?

Answer: Hey Hey What Can I Do

The Track "Hey Hey What Can I Do" was originally recorded in 1970, and was the B-side to "Immigrant Song." Only a limited number of that single was released, and it remained unavailable before the release of the first Led Zeppelin 'Boxed Set' in 1990. It is still a very sought after record with collectors.
