Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these songs does not feature John Bonham at all?

Answer: The Battle of Evermore

While there is no drum work on "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp", Bonzo trades in his kit for more folk oriented percussion instruments.
2. What unusual object does Jimmy Page use on his guitar in "Dazed and Confused"?

Answer: violin bow

Although it sounds like a cello playing on the recorded version, the bowing sounds quite unique when played live.
3. Who did Robert Plant dedicate "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" to?

Answer: his dog

Plant's dog was named Strider after the character from "The Lord of the Rings".
4. What two songs appeared from the second album instead of "Heartbreaker" on the "Early Days and Latter Days" album?

Answer: "Whole Lotta Love"/ "What is and What Should Never Be"

Although many people believe it should have appeared over "What is and What Should Never Be", the guitar work in "Heartbreaker" is regarded by critics as "too spontaneous and sloppy".
5. "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" was misspelled on the "How the West Was Won" album.

Answer: True

Jimmy mistakenly spelled it as "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp", probably confusing it with "Bron-Yr-Aur".
6. Which song makes an appearance on the "No Quarter" album by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant?

Answer: The Battle of Evermore

Plant had to find a replacement backup singer for this duet because Sandy Denny had died and John Paul Jones chose not to tour with Page and Plant after the band's breakup.
7. Which band did Jimmy Page adapt "Dazed and Confused" from?

Answer: The Yardbirds

Originally entitled "I'm Confused", Page played this in his Yardbirds days and rearranged it to suit Led Zeppelin.
8. What song was used in conjunction with "Heartbreaker" by radio stations?

Answer: Livin' Lovin' Maid

This was Jimmy Page's least favorite song.
9. Which J.R.R. Tolkein character is referenced in "The Battle of Evermore"?

Answer: ringwraiths

"The ringwraiths ride in black, ride on!" This was in my opinion the most political Zeppelin ever got because I believe that it talks about the evils of war. It definitely does have a defiant sound to it.
10. What other songs were included on the "How the West Was Won" version of "Dazed and Confused"?

Answer: "Walter's Walk"/"The Crunge"

This was a live guitar showcase for Page but you just can't forget when Plant's voice blends in perfect unison with Page's guitar in "Walter's Walk". Thanks for playing my quiz and I hope you had fun!
