1. In which ancient city did the 51st Eurovision Song Contest take place in 2006?

Answer: Athens

This was the first time that Greece had hosted the event, since they first took part in the 1970's.
2. Which were the first and last countries to sing in the Final?

Answer: Switzerland - Armenia

This was Armenia's first ever entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. They came eighth and automatically qualify for the 2007 contest.
3. Hard rockers, Lordi, won the Eurovision for which country, and with how many points?

Answer: Finland - 292 pts

Finland's win is a first for the country in their 44 year history at the Eurovision. Their high score is a record breaker.
4. The UK entry came last again, with nil points.

Answer: False

The UK came 19th, with 25 points, a huge improvement from 2005 entry.
5. Which country opted for a country music theme in 2006?

Answer: Germany

Germany's song, "No No Never", was sung by an Australian woman, written by a German man, based on an American theme.

Nobody could figure out why they were booing. Booing had also occurred during the semi final when Iceland's Silvia Night took to the stage; allegedly she had sworn in her performance. But the crowd booed her for her remarks made against the Greek organization skills.

Answer: Helsinki

Finland hosted the contest for the very first time in 2007. The semi final took place on 10th May and the final on 12th May 2007.
