I like the 1957 Sonny James version the best. It reached number one on Billboard for one week. However, it was a huge hit for Tab Hunter in 1957 as it was number one on Billboard for six weeks.

Answer: Tell Laura I Love Her

This teenage tragedy ballad, recorded by Ray Peterson in 1960, reached number seven on Billboard. In the United Kingdom, Ricky Valance took it to number one in the UK Singles Chart. It has been popularly recorded in 14 countries.
7. "That fateful night, the car was stalled upon the railroad track. I pulled you out and we were safe. But you went running back." In what song did this happen?

Here is more tragedy in this sad song. It was recorded by Mark Dinning in 1959 and went to number one on Billboard in February 1960. Because of its morbidity, disc jockeys at first refused to play it on the radio but that did change.

Answer: Endless Sleep

This work was written by Jody Reynolds of Denver, Colorado, in 1956 and released and sung by him in 1958. It became a million-record seller. It has been stated that he was inspired by Elvis Presley's "Heartbreak Hotel".
