Braun had previously worked for So So Def records, a label that specialises in R&B and hip hop artists. When trawling TouTube, he clicked on one of Bieber's videos by accident and was so impressed by the talented 12 year old, he contacted Bieber's mother in the hope of signing him up.
As well as Bieber, Braun has also acted for Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato but found both of them by more conventional means, not as a result of a YouTube mis-click.

Justin Timberlake was very keen on mentoring Bieber, but it was felt by people in Bieber's inner circle that Justin working with Justin would be too many Justins, so the decision was made to work with Usher instead. Usher used his contacts in the music industry to land Bieber his first record deal and has been a huge influence on Bieber in both his musical career and personal life.

Stevie Wonder topped the Billboard 200 in 1963 at age 13 with the album "Recorded Live: The 12 Year Old Genius" and it was a long wait until 2010 when Bieber aged 16 managed the feat. Bieber returned to the top spot as an under 18 year old, when his Christmas album, "Under the Mistletoe", hit number one in 2011.

Between his 2009 debut, "One Time" and his first Canadian number one, "Boyfriend" in 2012, Bieber had seven top twenty hits including "One Less Lonely Girl" (2009), "Baby" (2010) and "Mistletoe" (2011).
He had a longer wait in USA for a number one on the Billboard Hot 100, not reaching that milestone until 2015 when "What Do You Mean?" hit the top spot, which was also his first number one in UK and Australia.

Answer: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

Spoiler Alert. Bieber played the part of a serial bomber in season 11 of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", a show which ran from 2000 to 2015. He appeared in the episode "Shock Waves" (2010) and then in "Targets of Obsession" (2011) during which he was killed by a hail of bullets from the CSI team after he drew a gun on them.

Answer: Rascal Flatts

Beiber and Rascal Flatts won the "Collaborative Video of the Year" at the CMT awards in 2011 for the track, "That Should Be Me".
This track was originally on Bieber's debut album, "My World 2.0" (2011) but was remixed with Rascal Flatts and released as a single in 2010 from his "Never Say Never: The Remixes" album, also from 2011.
Although it was an award winning track, it didn't trouble the charts anywhere, struggling to break into the top 100 in both Canada and USA on the Billboard Hot 100.

Answer: Despacito

"Despacito" (2017) was originally released by Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee and was a minor hit before it was remixed featuring the talents of Bieber, which helped the track to new heights.
The single reached the number one spot on charts in South America, North America, Australasia, Europe and Asia making it a true global hit, much to the annoyance of Ed Sheeran who had reportedly been keen on making a remix version before Bieber stepped in.
Bieber's vocals were written out phonetically for him so that he could achieve a more genuine Spanish sounding pronunciation to them, and this certainly paid dividends as the track spent 26 weeks at number one in Spain.

Answer: Crocs

Crocs may not be the footwear of choice for everyone, but it certainly doesn't hurt sales when artists such as Justin Bieber collaborate with the brand. Other stars that have performed collaborations include Drew Barrymore, Post Malone, Psy, fast food giants KFC and Kiss, but there is no mistaking the Bieber pairing as the shoes are in his signature bright yellow colour and are marketed under his clothing brand, Drew House.

Answer: Carly Rae Jepsen

The "Believe" tour took in over 150 shows around the world and although artists such as Cody Simpson, Hot Chelle Rae and Ariana Grande were high profile support acts, it was Jepsen who performed at over 50 of the dates.
She had her first big hit in 2011 with "Call Me Maybe" leading to her supporting Hanson on the Canadian dates of their 2012 tour before opening for Bieber.
Jepsen headlined her own tour in 2013 with the "Summer Kiss" tour and went on to open for Katy Perry on the North American leg of her "Witness" tour in 2018.

Bieber has had several run ins with authorities during his time in the public eye and has been arrested in USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina for varying offences.
Doubtless this led to the ruling by the Chinese government that he was not a suitable role model for the country's youth and the ensuing ban. On a previous visit to the country in 2013, the then 19 year old star was carried up the Great Wall of China by his bodyguards and rode a Segway in Beijing while topless.
China certainly had no intention of facilitating any repeat of this behaviour.
