Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. To steal from the undead?

Answer: Rob Zombie

Quite a simple one to start. "Rob" as in to steal is followed by "Zombie" as in the living dead. The answer "Metallica" was the correct answer to one of Karl's clues: "I'm sucking on some iron." (Metal licker)
2. Teach Toys: change the hot drinks to busy insects.

Answer: Beach Boys

Tea or "T" is the hot drink in question. Once you have removed the "T's" from the first two words, replace them with busy insect. This hive insect is "Bee" or "B" to make the sixties surf rock group the Beach Boys.
3. This big cat can't hear anything.

Answer: Def Leppard

Another literal and easier one with the only difference being "Deaf Leopard" as a big cat that can't hear. Def Leppard are a glam rock band which was a style from the 1970s that was characterized by the members having long hair, make up and often wearing flamboyant leather clothing.
4. This group never lose?

Answer: The Beatles

The answer here derives from a group that never loses. The "Beat alls" making The Beatles, rock legends from the 1960s. Karl used Atomic Kitten as the answer for one of his clues. His cryptic clue was "An exploding pet."
5. A large body of water made up entirely of whatever replaced cassette tapes.

Answer: AC/DC

Compact Discs replaced cassette tapes in the 1990s. An ocean completely filled with them would be "A CD sea" or AC/DC, the hard rock Australian band who have been together for close to forty years.
6. Bring yourself and a busy insect around for a hot drink.

Answer: UB40

The answer here is made up of "Yourself" being changed to "You" or "U" followed by the busy insect being a bee or "B." Next, coming around for a hot drink or "For tea" is changed to "40." The B-52's are a rock band formed in the 1970s and are most known for their party favourite, "Love Shack."
7. Musically soft pen fluid?

Answer: Pink

The answer here requires a little musical knowledge in that the term for soft in Italian is "Piano" and directed under the staves as a "p." Follow that with pen fluid or "ink" and you have your answer. Whitney Houston was a clue actually used in a segment of "Rock Busters" with the clue being "I fell over and part of my leg landed in a puddle in Texas" to make "Wet knee Houston."
8. If you're not going to do anything else, could you put the chicken back in its house?

Answer: Alice Cooper

Alice can be made up from "If you're not going to do anything else" or "At least." Followed by "Put the chicken back in its house" or "coop her." Another answer used on "Rock Busters" here was "Justin Timberlake." With this answer, Karl used the clue "I'm in a river full of logs."
9. A friend next to a Christmas bush?

Answer: Buddy Holly

A very literal answer with friend being "Buddy" and a Christmas bush being "Holly." Buddy Holly is a rock and roll artist who was famous in the 1950s. He sadly passed away in a plane crash with Ritchie Valens and "The Big Bopper" who were two other big stars in America at the time.
10. The water with the monster in it is totally crazy.

Answer: Madness

This answer is made up of "Totally crazy" meaning "Mad" followed by "The water with the monster in it" referring to the Loch "Ness" in Scotland which is internationally renowned for sightings of a mysterious creature. Madness are an English Ska band from the 1980s. Ska bands are made up of regular rock instruments along with brass and woodwind instruments such as trumpets and saxophones.
