Answer: "Maroc 7"

"Maroc 7" was a 1967 hit for The Shadows that failed to crack the Top 20. It was from the soundtrack of the film of the same name, which starred Cyd Charisse and Leslie Philips.

The follow up single to his UK number one, "Congratulations", "I'll Love You Forever Today" failed to make the Top 20.
3. The Everley Brothers

Answer: "Gone, Gone, Gone"

"Gone, Gone, Gone" barely scraped into the Top 40 in the UK in 1964. It was covered by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss on their 2007 album "Raising Sand".
4. Gerry and the Pacemakers

Answer: "Walk Hand In Hand"

Just two years after having their first three singles reach number one, Gerry and the Pacemakers were struggling for chart success with this 1965 hit.

This 1968 Kinks release became their first single to fail to make the UK Top 20. Just two years later though, they were back near the top of the charts with their number two smash "Lola".

The second single from Tom's debut album in 1965, "Once Upon A Time", didn't quite have the success of his first single "It's Not Unusual" which reached number one. "Once Upon A Time" failed to break the Top 30.
10. The Beatles

Answer: "Ain't She Sweet"

1964 was the year that The Beatles hit number one with "I Feel Fine", "A Hard Day's Night" and "Can't Buy Me Love". It was also the year that they only just made the Top 30 with this 1920s song which had Pete Best on drums.
