Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which classic rock singer released the album 'No Rest For the Wicked'?

Answer: Ozzy Osbourne

Released in 1988, this was Ozzy's first album with guitarist Zakk Wylde, who has played on all Ozzy's albums since. Zakk also plays in Black Label Society.
2. Which band released the 2000 album 'Relationship Of Command'?

Answer: At the Drive In

They hit it big with this album, then promptly disbanded, forming several other projects. Although their music was quite aggressive, they would stop their live show if the crowd was 'moshing' too much.
3. Which band was cheeky enough to call one of their albums, 'Album Of the Year'?

Answer: Faith No More

Released in 1997, it was to be their last as tensions between certain band members got to intolerable levels.
4. Which metal band released a live CD called 'Live Bait For the Dead'?

Answer: Cradle Of Filth

This UK band, in the early to mid 1990's, were once referred to as 'Black Metal'. These days, there is nothing quite as brutal about the band, except perhaps for singer Dani Filth's 'growl-spit-squeal' vocal delivery.

Answer: Foo Fighters

German band Rammstein's version was strictly titled 'Asche Zu Asche'.
6. Which 'nu-metal' band released 'Take A Look In the Mirror'?

Answer: Korn

Released in 2003, Korn have outlasted many other 'nu-metal' bands. Even so, this album only contained three very minor singles and quickly slipped off the radar (in Australia, at least). 'Counting On Me', 'Did My Time' and 'Y'all Want A Single'.
7. All of Metallica's full length albums, up until their self-titled one, had three words in the title?

Answer: False

'Kill Em All', 'Ride the Lightning' and 'Master of Puppets' certainly had three words, but their next album had four: 'And Justice For All'.
8. Which band, who are now in their fifth decade, have released such albums as 'Technical Ecstasy', 'Born Again' and 'Dehumanizer'?

Answer: Black Sabbath

Best known for their first five albums in the 1970's, especially 'Paranoid', Black Sabbath's lineup has changed frequently. The singers on the three albums above were Ozzy Osbourne, Ian Gillan and Ronnie James Dio, respectively.
9. One of the flamboyant guitarists from the "shred" era was Yngwie Malmsteen. Although he has a solid fanbase, he has only had real commercial success with the single 'Heaven Tonight' in the late 80's. Which album was this taken from?

Answer: Odyssey

This album featured several brilliant musicians, including Bob Daisley on bass, Jens Johansson on keyboards, Anders Johansson on drums and Joe-Lynn Turner on vocals.
10. The album was '1984', the singles were 'Jump', 'Panama' and 'Hot For Teacher'. What was the band?

Answer: Van Halen

The end of their classic 'David Lee Roth' era. Their next album, '5150', featured the singles 'Dreams' and 'Why Can't This Be Love?' with Sammy Hagar on vocals.
