3. The J. Geils Band had a top seller in 1982 with a song about a guy and his high school crush. What was the name of this song?

Geils Band 1982 single that zoomed to the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts and remained there for six weeks in the winter of 1982, as well as a number three placing in the U.K. The song is about a man who discovers that his high school sweetheart has posed for a men's magazine. Needless to say, it was biggest charting hit for the band.
4. James Ingram and Patti Austin recorded this duet in 1981, but it wasn't until 1983 that it became a major hit. What song am I talking about here?

Answer: Baby, Come To Me

"Baby, Come to Me" was recorded by Patti Austin and James Ingram in 1981 and appeared on Austin's 1982 album called "Every Home Should Have One". The song had background vocals by Michael McDonald, and was produced by Quincy Jones. Even with all that the song had trouble gaining traction when it was first released in 1982.

Then, after being used in the television soap opera "General Hospital", it was re-released and became a Billboard Hot 100 number one hit in the winter of 1983 when it spent two weeks at the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts.

This is another song written by Rod Temperton.

The song spent three weeks at number one in the U.S. during the winter of 1985, and was number one in over 20 countries worldwide.

8. Billy Vera and the Beaters had a hit with this re-release in 1987 after the song had failed in a prior release. What was the song?

Answer: At This Moment

Billy Vera began his musical career in 1962 and wrote hits for such artists as Fats Domino, The Shirelles and Ricky Nelson. He mostly wrote songs throughout the 60s and 70s, and decided to get together with some friends and play some local clubs in Los Angeles in the early 1980s. 1981 saw the release of "At This Moment" which managed to reach number 79 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Then in 1985 the song was used as a backdrop for a romantic scene on the NBC Television series "Family Ties" starring Michael J. Fox.

As a result of the response to the song, it was released as part of the band's 1986 album. This time the song soared to the top of the Billboard charts, spending two weeks at number one during January 1987.

Answer: All answers are correct

Harrison took this cover of "I Got My Mind Set On You", a James Ray 1962 tune, and sent it to the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts for one week in the winter of 1988. It was his third number one tune as solo artist moving him into 2nd place among the former Beatles. Paul McCartney had nine number one tunes as a solo artist.
