a-ha formed in Oslo Norway in 1982. The group eventually left Norway, and moved to London to expand their musical careers. This resulted in wider airplay and eventually yielded "Take on Me" which became a number one tune in the U.S. on the Hot 100 charts during the fall of 1985.
