Answer: Tug of War
"Tug of War" was released in 1982, and was McCartney's first solo album since Wings split up 12 months earlier. The album topped the charts in numerous countries, including the UK and USA. "Take it Away" featured Ringo Starr on drums, and was released as a single, reaching number ten in the USA and number 15 in Britain.
2. With a Little luck
Answer: London Town
The 1978 release "London Town" was a Wings album, with recording taking place over a 12 month period, during which time Joe English and Jimmy McCulloch departed the band, leaving a line-up consisting of the trio of Paul and Linda McCartney, and Denny Laine.
Despite bad reviews by the critics, it reached number two on the US chart, and number four in the UK. "With a Little Luck" was the first single released from the album and topped the US Billboard chart, and peaked at number five in the UK.
3. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey
Answer: Ram
Released in 1971, "Ram" is a Paul and Linda McCartney album. It was Paul's first post-Beatles number one UK album, whilst in the USA it reached number two. The other ex-Beatles thought at the time that some of the tracks were barely-disguised digs at them. "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" was a medley track that topped the US Billboard singles chart.
4. Let 'Em In
Answer: Wings at the Speed of Sound
Released in 1976, "Wings at the Speed of Sound" topped the US album chart and peaked at number two in the UK. The line-up for the album consisted of Paul and Linda McCartney, Denny Laine, Jimmy McCulloch and Joe English. All five members of the band sang lead vocals on at last one track on the album. Paul sang lead vocals on "Let 'Em In" which was released as a single, reaching numbers two and three in the UK and USA respectively.
The song name-checks a number of famous people as well as members of McCartney's extended family.
5. Listen to What the Man Said

6. Waterfalls
Answer: McCartney II
Released in 1982, "McCartney II" was the second album by McCartney to be credited solely to him rather than as a member of Wings or in partnership with Linda. (The first, "McCartney", was released in 1970 when he was still a member of the Beatles). The album topped the UK charts and peaked at number three in the USA. "Waterfalls" was a ballad with Paul playing synthesiser, electric piano and acoustic guitar.
It reached number nine on the UK singles chart.

9. My Brave Face

Answer: Band on the Run
"Band on the Run" was released in 1973, and gave Wings their first UK chart topper; it also hit number one in the USA. Regarded by most critics as the best post-Beatles album that Paul McCartney ever made, the personnel included just Paul, Linda and Denny Laine.
The album sleeve includes a number of celebrities dressed as escaped convicts, including Christopher Lee, Clement Freud and James Coburn. "Jet" (whose title was inspired by Paul's dog!) was released as a single, making number seven in both the UK and USA.
