Pink Floyd: Famous Last Words Trivia Quiz

A lot of people have created quizzes on Pink Floyd opening lines, so I thought I'd do something a little different. I'll give you the last sentence of a Floyd song, you tell me what song it is from. Some are harder than others. Good Luck!

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which songs parting words are "The icy waters underground"?

Answer: Astronomy Domine

Taken from Pink Floyd's debut album 'Piper At The Gates Of Dawn'. 'Astronomy Domine' is not only one of my favourite tracks on the album, but one of my favourite Floyd songs. The voice heard at the beginning of this song belongs to Peter Jenner, one of Pink Floyd's managers.
2. Which classic Floyd song ends with "Thought I'd something more to say"?

Answer: Time

Taken from debatably Floyd's finest album 'Dark Side Of The Moon'. 'Time', with its distinctive alarm clock introduction contains my favourite Pink Floyd guitar solo ever! Dave Gilmour at his finest!
3. These are the closing words of what song: "I never thought that you'd lose the light in your eyes"?

Answer: Poles Apart

Taken from 'The Division Bell'.
4. What song ends with this sentence: "There'll be no sleep in here tonight"?

Answer: One Slip

Taken from 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason'. Is it just me or does this song sound just a little bit like 'Radio Ga Ga'?
5. These are the final words of which Floyd song: "All you need to do is follow the worms"?

Answer: Waiting For The Worms

Taken from the epic 1979 album 'The Wall'. Quite an easy question that, although similar lines do occur throughout the album.
6. Which song ends on "A yellow moon is growing cold"?

Answer: Stay

Taken from 'Obscured By Clouds'. A very underrated album, but one of my faves. This beautiful ballad is sung by Rick Wright, though its sometimes hard to tell. His voice is very similar to David Gilmour's.
7. What Floyd song closes with "In the warm light of her eyes"?

Answer: Biding My Time

A hard one that! Taken from 'Relics' a collection of rare B-sides and unreleased tracks.
8. What song ends on "The last sunlight disappears"?

Answer: Fat Old Sun

Taken from the very psychedelic 'Atom Heart Mother'.
9. These are the final words of what classic Floyd song "Let's go into the other room and make them work"?

Answer: Bike

Another great song from 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn'. Another one of my Floyd faves!
10. These are the last words of what song "And what exactly is a joke"?

Answer: Jugband Blues

Taken from 'A Saucerful Of Secrets'. The only song on this album to be written by Syd Barrett. Shortly after completing this album, Syd was permanently replaced by his old school friend, David Gilmour.
