Pat Smear is a talented guitarist. He has also worked with Nina Hagen and The Foo Fighters. A strange fact is that both Darby Crash, the singer for The Germs, and Kurt Cobain, the singer for Nirvana, committed suicide.
2. Which musician, originally from The Velvet Underground, was given shock therapy as a teenager?

Answer: Lou Reed

Lou Reed was given shock therapy for moody and 'homosexual' behavior. He went on to write such songs as "Heroin" and "Sweet Jane," with The Velvet Underground, and "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" as a solo artist.
