Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How is Bruce linked to the television show "American Idol?"

Answer: Randy Jackson was the bass player on some of Bruce's albums

Randy Jackson, a very accomplished bass player, played on Bruce's 1992 same-day releases "Human Touch" and "Lucky Town." Several musicians of the band from the 1992-1994 period were arguably superior players to their respective E-Street counterparts, but the magical chemistry that Bruce had with the E-Street band led to the inevitable reorganization of the group.
2. What notable item has occured between Bruce Springsteen and an insurance company?

Answer: Bruce has his voice insured for 5.6 million dollars

Many celebs are known to have unusual insurance policies out there, and Bruce falls into that group, insuring his voice for big bucks.
3. Before becoming super famous, Bruce Springsteen once played in the backing band for which Rock and Roll icon?

Answer: Chuck Berry

During the 1970s Chuck Berry toured by himself, picking up local musicans at each stop to back him, helping reduce the amount of money he'd have to share with his bandmates. Bruce was one of the many young musicians included in this list.
4. Which sports arena did Bruce "open" when holding the first concert ever there? (I will use 2006 names for the venues)

Answer: Continental Airlines Arena

Bruce played the first rock concert ever in the Brendan Byrne Arena, located in East Rutherford, N.J. during July 1981 with the first of six sold-out shows. Later renamed the Continental Airlines Arena, this venue has become a home-away-from home for Bruce over the years.
5. What is the first musical instrument which Bruce Springsteen learned to play?

Answer: Drums

Despite it not becoming one of his more well known strong suits, Bruce first learned to play the drums.
6. Bruce Springsteen is partly of the Jewish religious faith.

Answer: False

Due to his surname, Bruce has often been identified as hailing from Jewish decent, but he is in fact Catholic.
7. As of of the end of 2005, what is the only film in which Bruce Springsteen has appeared in an acting role?

Answer: High Fidelity

In a humerous moment of self-reflection in the film "High Fidelity," John Cusak speaks with Bruce (playing himself) in a dream sequence.
8. According to his public relation's group, what was former president Ronald Reagans's favorite Springsteen song?

Answer: Born to Run

During Reagan's 1984 re-election campaign, he attempted to win over crowds with the (misunderstood) pro-U.S.A nature of Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A." album. This slightly backfired on the President when the media asked him to name his favorite song. Unable to do so on the spot, the President's aid noted in later publication that his favorite song was "Born to Run."
9. To which group or solo musician is Bruce Springsteen not credited with serving as the "Presenter" at their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

Answer: Neil Young

Bruce is a regular at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, having inducted numerous musicians over the years including Bob Dylan, U2, CCR, Jackson Browne, and Roy Orbison.
10. What unusual fact below is true in regards to "Born in the U.S.A.," Bruce Springsteen's sixth studio album?

Answer: It was the first album ever pressed onto a CD in the United States

As this album was Colmbia Records highest selling album ever, it was an obivous choice to be their first one pressed to CD.
