Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Can't You Hear My HEARTbeat" was a top selling hit on the U.S. charts for a Brtish Invasion group. Can you pick the right group?

Answer: Herman's Hermits

Peter Noone and Herman's Hermits took "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat" to the number two position on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts in January 1965. The song was their second U.S. release, following "I'm Into Something Good" which was their initial 1964 release in the U.S. Inexplicably "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat" was never released as a single in the group's native U.K. home.
2. "No Matter What Shape (Your Stomach's In)" was a hit for a group for the T-Bones in the 1960s. Where did the music come from?

Answer: A television commercial

"No Matter What Shape (Your STOMACH's In)", an instrumental recording, reached number three on the U.S. Billboard charts in 1966 for The T-Bones. The music was from a television advertisement for Alka-Seltzer, a popular, widely used upset stomach remedy. An interesting aside to this is that although The T-Bones never enjoyed another recording as successful as this one, they became a popular 1970s group in a re-incarnation of sorts.

They were Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds ("Don't Pull Your Love").

By the way, the original Alka-Seltzer commercial is available on YouTube if you'd like a laugh.
3. It's The Supremes who had this huggy tune which was a number one hit in 1965. Which one of their songs fits the category?

Answer: Back In My Arms Again

"Back In My ARMS Again", reached the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts in the summer of 1965, and was the last of the five straight number one hits for the group, which began with the 1964 hit "Where Did Our Love Go" and continued with the hits "Baby Love", "Come See About Me", "Stop! In the Name of Love"(which also reached the top in 1965, but has no body parts) and finally this song.
4. Rod Stewart had a song in the 1970s that fits the body parts category. What song was this?

Answer: Hot Legs

"Hot LEGS" was Stewart's 1977 hit single that scored well both in the U.S. and the U.K when released as a single of the album called " Foot Loose and Fancy Free" The song was a number five hit in the U.K. and a number 28 charting hit in the U.S. The song was covered later by Tom Jones, and ironically was also covered by Tina Turner, and with the legs she has, she could use this song as her anthem.
5. What dance was made popular in the late 1950s by Johnny Otis? This dance and song fits the category and featured "Way Out Willie".

Answer: The Hand Jive

"Willie and the HAND Jive" was Johnny Otis' biggest hit when it went to number nine on the U.S. Billboard charts in 1958. Otis was one of the few successful white R & B musicians of the 1940s and 1950s. Otis also discovered the legendary Jackie Wilson.

"Under My THUMB" is one of the Stones most popular songs, although it was never released as a single. The song was originally of a 1966 album called "Aftermath".
7. All the way up to 1983 for this song by The Police which describes being "Folded Amongst Your Phalange". What's the real title?

Answer: Wrapped Around Your Finger

The song "Wrapped Around Your FINGER" was the second release from The Police's highly successful 1983 album called "Synchronicity". It charted at number seven in the U.K. in 1983, and when released in the U.S. in 1984, made Billboards Hot 100 charts at number eight.
8. Van Morrison's classic 1967 hit described a girl with what color eyes?

Answer: Brown

"Brown EYEd Girl" is the song that spring boarded the career of Van Morrison in 1967 after his prior band Them dissolved, when it climbed to number ten on the U.S. Billboard charts. The song is continuously one of the top played songs on many classic and oldies stations and is listed by Rolling Stone Magazine at number 109 as one of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".
9. What kind of games were the group Foreigner playing that would qualify one of their songs for this quiz?

Answer: Head Games

"HEAD Games" was the second single off the album of the same name released by Foreigner in 1979. The song itself peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The album has a fairly well known cover photo depicting a woman in a men's room sitting on a urinal. Not sure what this has to do with the music, but nonetheless..
10. K.C. and The Sunshine Band were shaking in 1976. What were they shaking?

Answer: Booty

"(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your BOOTY" was part of an album called "Part 3" which K.C. and The Sunshine Band released in 1976, right in the middle of the disco era. The song became their third straight number one U.S. hit on the Billboard charts and also reached number 22 in the U.K.
