1. Who was the guitarist who has played on all albums by Bon Jovi?

Answer: Richie Sambora

Richie replaced Bon Jovi's original guitarist Dave Sarbo after attending a concert and becoming friends with Jon Bon Giovi a.k.a Jon Bon Jovi. He attended a band rehearsal and when Jon heard the band decided it sounded better than ever and hired Richie Sambora.
2. Who is the guitarist who famously created the guitar solo "Eruption"?

Answer: Eddie Van Halen

Eddie played this solo on Van Halen's self titled debut album released in 1978. It remains to this day one of the greatest solos of all time.
3. Who is the guitarist that played on many of the tracks on Whitesnake's "Slip of the Tongue" album?

Answer: Steve Vai

Vai was not the guitarist who was intended to play on this album. He was brought in a a session musician when the band's guitarist injured his hand and as a result was unable to play.

Answer: Jimi Hendrix

Hendrix formed his first band without an electric guitar. When he found he was being drowned out by the other musicians, he bought his first electric guitar, a Supro Ozark.

Malmsteen got his name from using his middle name and his mother's maiden name. His main influences are Ritchie Blackmore, Uli John Roth and Brian May.

Saul Hudson is better known as Slash, the iconic guitarist of Guns 'n' Roses and later Velvet Revolver. His nickname came from a mother of one of his friends who said to him one day "Saul you've been slashing in and out for a long time." Meaning visiting frequently for number of years. Slash is easily recognized by his top hat, hair covering his face and he is frequently smoking a cigarette.

Answer: Brian May

May, the lead guita7irst of legendary rock band Queen, uses a coin - an old silver sixpence - as opposed to a plectrum because he believes it has a harder attack on the strings. He plays a guitar he hand built with his father which has a distinctive sound giving Queen a unique quality to its sound. This guitar model has been recreated closely by guitar makers "Guild".
9. Which guitarist was shot dead on stage while playing a gig in Columbus Ohio in 2004?

Answer: Dimebag Darrell

Darrell, formerly of Pantera, was playing a gig for his new band Damageplan. Moments into the set a gunman jumped on stage and shot Darrell three times, killing him instantly. Some of the fans thought it was part of the show but the gunman kept shooting, eventually killing four people and wounding seven others.
10. Which guitarist has the tip of two of his fingers missing and has metal prosthetics in their place?

Answer: Tony Iommi

Iommi, guitarist of Black Sabbath, lost the ends of his two of his fingers in an accident while working in a factory as a teenager. He had them replaced by steel prosthetics which he still has to this day.
