However, gaining considerable exposure, it was also recorded by this person in 1962 as the B-side of his hit "Theme From Dr Kildare (Three Stars Will Shine Tonight)." Do you know his name?

Answer: Richard Chamberlain

"A Kiss to Build a Dream On" featured prominently in the 1951 movie "The Strip" starring Micky Rooney, Sally Forrest, William Demarest and Louis Armstrong. A version by Hugo Winterhalter and his Orchestra made an appearance in the Pop 20 chart in the U.S.

The song was covered by Rod Stewart in his 2004 album "Stardust: the Great American Songbook."

George Richard Chamberlain was born in 1934 and is well-known for his role as Dr James Kildare in the TV series "Dr Kildare". He had mild success as a singer in the 1960s. His acting triumph came much later as Father (later Cardinal) Ralph deBricassart in the TV mini-series "The Thornbirds".
2. "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)" was originally a hit recorded by Betty Everett in 1964, who took it to number one on the "Cashbox" magazine R&B charts. But do you know the singer who had a hit with the song in 1991?

Answer: Cher

Several versions of "It's In His Kiss" have been recorded since 1964 when Betty Everett had her number one hit. When Ramona King recorded this song the same year, the producers for Betty Everett issued her version under the name "The Shoop Shoop Song", parenthetically subtitled "It's In His Kiss".
In the UK "It's In His Kiss" was recorded by the Searchers, the Hollies, the Swinging Blue Jeans, Helen Shapiro, Lulu, Shaw and Linda Lewis.

The song, without the Jordanaires backing Elvis, was first released in the US in April 1964 with 'Suspicion" on the reverse side.

The Jordanaires originally formed as a gospel group in 1948. From 1956 to 1972 they did vocal backing for Elvis on his recordings and in his live shows. Elvis first heard them in a show in Memphis1955, when he was just starting out, and he said to them "If I ever get a recording contract with a major company, I want you guys to back me up." And that is exactly what happened!
