Answer: Meat Loaf

"Bat out of Hell" was the second album by Meat Loaf and was released in 1977. The song "Bat out of Hell" was released in 1979 and again in 1993 with the vocals by Meat Loaf.

Meat Loaf, born Marvin Lee Aday in 1947, has sold over 47 million copies of "Bat out of Hell" and the recording is still selling over 200,000 copies every year since its release in 1979. Meat Loaf is also a TV and movie actor.

"Running Bear" was written by J. P. Richardson (aka The Big Bopper). The song tells the story of "Running Bear" an Indian brave and his love "Little White Dove" an Indian maid. They are separated because their respective tribes hate each other and they are also separated by a raging river. Alas, after jumping into the river they both drown and "now they'll always be together in their happy hunting ground." Johnnie Preston was born in Texas in 1939.

"What's New Pussycat?" was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for the film of the same name starring Peter Sellers. Thomas John Woodward (Tom Jones) was born in Wales in 1940. Tom Jones performed for the first time in Las Vegas in 1967. He was very popular with the females in his audience some of whom threw their knickers at him on stage. He has sold over 100 million records.

It was also recorded by Bing Crosby and Tennessee Ernie Ford.
