"The Black Widow" (Alice Cooper, Dick Wagner, Bob Ezrin), from the album "Welcome to My Nightmare" (1975), performed by Alice Cooper.
The three major species of the Black Widow spider are the 'Latrodectus mactans'(southern Black Widow), the 'Latrodectus variolus'(northern Black Widow), and the 'Latrodectus hesperus'(western Black Widow), all known for their dark color, distinctive red hourglass marking on the abdomen, and their highly neurotoxic venom.
Authors personal note: I saw Alice in concert during this tour (1975, Swing Auditorium, San Bernardino, CA), and to this day (and many, many concerts later), it is still one of best gigs I have ever seen!
