Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Our lives are forever changed".

Answer: Tonight, Tonight

From "Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness" released in 1995. This album is actually a double album, and the track "Tonight, Tonight" is on the first album called "Dawn To Dusk".
2. "Drinking mercury to the mystery of all that you should ever seek to find".

Answer: Ava Adore

From "Adore" released in 1998. "Adore" wasn't a big commercial success for the Pumpkins. It was the first (and only) album without Jimmy Chamberlin on drums and the fans didn't like the fact that it was a very calm album. I personally 'adore' it!
3. "All those angels with their wings glued on".

Answer: Cherub Rock

From "Siamese Dream" released in 1993. This album was the consecration of the Pumpkins, the one that made them famous. In 1993 they were chosen 'Band Of The Year' by Spin magazine.
4. "Consume my love, devour my hate".

Answer: Rocket

From "Siamese Dream" released in 1993. Great song with a good guitar riff. The video is also very funny.
5. "Sprinkle all my kisses on your head".

Answer: Siva

From "Gish" released in 1991. I really like this song. I discovered this album a long time after it was released, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Billy Corgan with long curly hair!
6. "Speak to me in a language I can hear".

Answer: Thirty-Three

From "Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness" released in 1995. Sweet song, last single from this album after "Bullet With Butterfly Wings", "1979" and "Tonight, Tonight".
7. "We feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts and poured cement".

Answer: 1979

From "Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness" released in 1995. This album changed my life. I bought it after "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" was out, and "1979" was starting to be played on the radio. The song is simply excellent and was a great hit at the time.
8. "The bitterness of one who's left alone".

Answer: Disarm

From "Siamese Dream" released in 1993. This one would definitely be in my personal Smashing Pumpkins top ten. The video is fantastic and the song is a classic.
9. "We can't help but feel that something has been lost".

Answer: Perfect

From "Adore" released in 1998. Cute song, Billy has a nice hat in the video! You can see it if you get the videotape of all their videos, it was released at the same time they released their "Greatest Hits" in 2001.
10. "Pink ribbon scars".

Answer: Today

From "Siamese Dream" released in 1993. A classic Pumpkins song once again, who can ever forget Billy as the ice cream seller guy? And James Iha in his dress!
11. "Enchanted in the rapture of his sentimental sway".

Answer: The Everlasting Gaze

From "Machina/The Machines Of God" released in 2000. First single from this album, a huge change when you think of the album that came before it. It rocks and it's good. And it's the first video recorded with Melissa Auf Der Maur replacing D'Arcy on bass. Jimmy Chamberlin also made a comeback in this video.
12. "See you in June".

Answer: Rhinoceros

From "Gish" released in 1991. Great song, nice video.
13. "Intoxicated with the madness".

Answer: Zero

From "Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness" released in 1995. The song that made the "Zero" t-shirts so popular! Great video with wonderful costumes and make-up.
14. "Recast as child and mystic sage".

Answer: Stand Inside Your Love

From "Machina/The Machines Of God" released in 2000. A gorgeous song, one of their best love songs ever. And the video is awesome, it features Billy and his real girlfriend, Yelena Yemchuk.
15. "Then someone will say what is lost can never be saved".

Answer: Bullet With Butterfly Wings

From "Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness" released in 1995. A big success for the Pumpkins, it made me discover them and buy all their material! I've been a fan ever since.
