Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was the original lead singer for TNT?

Answer: Dan Ingebrigtsen

Dan Ingebrigtsen was "removed" from the band shortly after they started recording their second album to make room for the amazing Tony Harnell. Tony
re-recorded and re-worked the lyrics on some of the songs Ingebrigtsen had already recorded.
2. TNT was originally founded and based out of what country?

Answer: Norway

TNT was formed in 1982 in Trondheim, Norway.
3. What was the name of TNT's second album?

Answer: Knights of the New Thunder

TNT released their second album (and first with Tony Harnell) "Knights of the New Thunder" in 1984 and had their first commercial success with the music video for "Seven Seas."
4. Who is the guitarist for TNT and only founding member who recorded every release with the band?

Answer: Ronni le Tekro

Bassists, drummers and (in the end) even singers came and went over the years, but one thing that remained consistent were the incredible guitar riffs of Ronni le Tekro.
5. TNT finally broke the Billboard Top 100 charts in America with the release of what album?

Answer: Tell No Tales

Released in 1987, "Tell No Tales" was the band's first breakthrough record in the United States sparking hits like "Everyone's A Star," "10,000 Lovers(In One)", and "As Far As The Eye Can See".
6. Who was the only drummer NEVER to play with TNT?

Answer: Art Blakey

TNT certainly has had their share of drummers through out the years. From Diesel Dahl to Ken Odin to the amazingly talented John Macaluso to Frode Lamoy and finally back to Diesel Dahl again, the one person not to play with the band was world-renowned jazz drummer Art Blakey who sadly passed away in 1990.
7. After an almost five year hiatus between 1992 and 1997, the band finally released their follow up to 1992's "Realized Fantasies." What was the album?

Answer: Firefly

After a LONG break while "grunge" was running rampant across American radio, Ronni and Tony finally decided to reform the band in 1996 and released "Firefly." Then, with just a handful of shows under their belts in Norway and Japan, Harnell left TNT to continue work with his solo project Westworld.
8. 2005 saw the release of one of the band's most triumphant efforts, "All The Way To The Sun." Deciding to test some new waters, the album contained a cover version of an all time classic. What was the song?

Answer: What A Wonderful World

The band's original idea was to do something totally out of left field. They had never recorded a cover before and figured people would expect them to do something on the lines of a "British Pop" kind of thing. Instead, they reached way back into the archives and decided on the Louis Armstrong classic "What A Wonderful World."
9. Sadly, in 2006, lead vocalist Tony Harnell announced he would be leaving the band for the last time. TNT played two farewell performances with Harnell in what city?

Answer: Madrid

Yes... it's true. Tony Harnell did indeed leave the band after performing with TNT for two shows in Madrid, Spain. The first night was recorded and eventually released as a CD/DVD combo set entitled "TNT-Live In Madrid."
10. TNT released their first album without Tony Harnell in 2007 called "The New Territory." Who replaced Tony Harnell as lead vocalist?

Answer: Tony Mills

Yes, another Tony! After the departure of Tony Harnell, with some pretty big shoes to fill, Tony Mills from the British-based band Shy took over the singing duties and added his own unique sound and style to this amazing band.
