Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Screaming Trees are all from what US city and state?

Answer: Seattle, Washington

Alice-n-Chains and Candlebox are also from the great city of Seattle.
2. Name the classic rock band from Boston that came out with a hit album, and a trilogy of music videos for it.

Answer: Aerosmith

Aerosmith, what can I say? "Cryin'", "Amazing", and "Crazy" were three great videos.
3. What early 90's grunge band sings this line? "Can you see like a child? Can you see what I want?"

Answer: Stone Temple Pilots

When STP first came out, a lot of media said that Scott sounded like Eddie Vedder. As more music came out from STP, they quickly lost that rumor.
4. What 90's music video featured a little girl in a "bee" costume? (name artist and song)

Answer: Blind Melon - "No Rain"

Blind Melon's video for "No Rain" was a hit- it's too bad Shannon Hoon died before more great music was made.
5. True or false: N*SYNC toured with Jordan Knight of New Kids On The Block on their 1998 tour.

Answer: True

It was a good tour; for the last song, "Sailing", they were hooked on ropes that pulled them in the air and across the ceiling.
6. Who sang back-up vocals on the Guns-n-Roses album "Use Your Illusion I"?

Answer: Shannon Hoon

In the video for "Don't Cry", you can spot Shannon singing with Axl on the rooftop.
7. What was the title of REM's 1994 album?

Answer: "Monster"

"Monster" was REM's first electric album in a few years, and I think it was one of their best.
8. What is the name of the last Alice-n-Chains studio album?

Answer: Alice -n- Chains

Their self-titled CD came out around the middle of 1995....it had a picture of a dog on the cover. Sadly, it was their last studio album.
9. What was Duran Duran's comeback hit single?

Answer: "Ordinary World"

The video featured a bride walking around aimlessly....One of my favorites by them.
10. Which of these Madonna videos was banned from MTV?

Answer: "Justify My Love"

This video caused more controversy than others that I have ever seen. It showed nudity and a lot of sexual content. I think maybe it was too racy at the time it came out, but it would probably still get banned if it came out now. The song was written by Lenny Kravitz.
