"Pictures Of Matchstick Men" was Quo's first UK chart hit. It reached number seven in 1968. It reached number 12 on the US pop chart, the first of their only two US pop chart hits. The second one was "Ice In The Sun" a UK number eight in 1968 and a US number 70. They never troubled the US chart again.
