The Electric Light Orchestra was inspired by the ex Move member Roy Wood. The "10538 Overture" was the first song recorded by the band. The unique classical style of music made them one of the biggest selling bands of the mid 70's-80's.
Another big hit for ELO was "Roll Over Beethoven" released in 1973.

Mott the Hoople was an English Rock band formed in the late 60's. There biggest hit was "All The Young Dudes" written by "Ziggy Stardust" David Bowie in 1972.
The bands biggest selling album was also called "All The Young Dudes".
Mott the Hoople had a short career spanning from 1968-1974.

T.Rex was an English glam rock band, fronted by the lead singer Marc Bolan.
"Metal Guru" made the number one spot in the UK in May-June 1972. The song was about a car. A strange choice considering Marc Bolan had a phobia about cars and dying in one. One other strange fact is Marc Bolan died in a car crash on the 16th September 1977, when his car left the road and hit a tree. Bolan was not driving the car himself, his girl friend Gloria Jones who survived the crash was the driver.
9. Who was the artist who sang "You Wear It Well"?

Answer: Rod Stewart

In 1967 The Jeff Beck Group was formed with Rod Stewart as the main vocals for the band. The next band Rod Stewart joined was the Small Faces, renamed The Faces.
As a solo act "Maggie May" was a number 1 hit for Rod Stewart in the UK and the USA in October 1971.

"You Wear It Well" made the number one spot in the UK and reached number thirteen on the Billboard Hot 100.
10. "School's Out" was a big hit for who?

Answer: Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper, real name Vincent Furnier. An American artist with a horror theme for his stage sets. One of the best albums from this artist is "Billion Dollar Babies" released in 1973. Tracks from this album include "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "I Love the Dead". Alice Cooper had a large following in the UK in the mid 70's.
"School's Out" made the no 1 slot in the UK in August 1972.
