The name Snoop Doggy Dogg was taken from a reference given to him by his mother, who nicknamed him "Snoopy" because of his love of the comic strip cartoon character, "Peanuts." The album "Doggystyle" was also a number one on the U.S. Billboard 200

The big breakthrough for Lisa was when she met Ethan Hawke, an American actor, writer and film director. They met via mutual friends in New York. Ethan Hawke gave a tape recording of the song "Stay" to the debut film director, Ben Stiller, who was at that time involved with the film, "Reality Bites." The song title was changed to "Stay (I Missed You.)" The song was eventually used on the soundtrack and in the film, "Reality Bites."

The single also made number one in the UK. The group's debut album was titled "Cooleyhighharmony", released in 1991. The group's second studio album was called "II" released in August 1994. The album was a number one on The Billboard 200 and peaked at number 17 on the UK albums chart. Tracks for the album include, "Thank You", "I'll Make Love to You", "On Bended Knee" and "Water Runs Dry".
