Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Yes, Bret Michaels is the lead singer of the group, but do you know his real name?

Answer: Bret Michael Sychak

Interestingly; Bret's father, a country fan, had orignally chosen Bret Maverick Sychak, but went with Michael instead. (whew) Bret is not ashamed of his Czechoslavakian name, but felt Michaels flowed easier and would be easier for fans to remember.
2. Okay, the last one was easy. Tell me bassist Bobby Dall's real name.

Answer: Robert Kuykendall

Kendall struck Bobby as sounding too much Ken Doll so on the way to making it in LA decided to shorten his last name to Dall. If you say it fast enough it sounds even more like another doll.
3. Okay, smartie. With what name was guitarist C.C. Deville born?

Answer: Bruce Johannesson

C.C. wasn't Poison's first guitarist, but he's the best and the last.
4. Alright another question about C.C. What do the C's stand for?

Answer: Cadillac Coupe

Yup, C.C.'s a Cadillac man. At the time of Poison's arrival the Deville was a status symbol, still is, I suppose. And everybody wants to ride in a caddy!
5. Well, we can't forget Rikki Rockett. Can you tell me his real name?

Answer: Alan Ream

Rikki and Bret go way back (since they were teens).
6. Well, hopefully you know all the boys' names. Let's talk about what they do when they aren't together. Which member of Poison recently began studying martial arts?

Answer: Rikki

Rikki has a black belt.
7. Who founded Samantha 7?

Answer: C.C.

After leaving Poison in the 90s, C.C. formed his own band. Samantha 7 is still going strong even though C.C. is back with Poison, where he belongs in my opinion.
8. Alright, how about this one? Which Poison member wrote, directed, produced, and starred in his own movie?

Answer: Bret

A gripping thriller, "A Letter From Death Row" was released in 1996, making Bret the only band member to ever write, produce, direct, and star in a film. Bret also wrote and recorded the movie's score.
9. How did the boys get around LA when they first started out?

Answer: an old ambulance van

Without much kick-around money, the boys bought an old ambulance to get them around. They came up with the name Poison after knocking around names like Spectres, and The Kidz. Thank goodness they landed on Poison.
10. Last question. Where did the signature "Poison green" colour come from?

Answer: fliers the band posted

When they first started performing in clubs in LA, they promoted themselves, and that neon lime green was the cheapest colour at the copier store, but it was the most eye-catching colour, too. They decided to bring that into their albums when they became successful and so the Poison logo is always that same shade of green on every album. Hope you enjoyed this quiz.
