Kate's debut album was "The Kick Inside", released February 17,1978. The first single from that album was "Wuthering Heights".

Kate did appear on "SNL",in November of 1978, but has a musical guest. The show was hosted by "Monty Python's" Eric Idle. Kate performed "The Man With The Child In His Eyes" and "Them Heavy People". Mick Jagger dropped by her dressing room to say "Hi".

St. Joseph's is still there in South East London, although much of the way it looked, when Kate attended, has changed.
