Mac Davis had a number 43 hit with "It's Hard To Be Humble" that climbed to number ten on the Country Singles chart in 1980 from the album of the same name.

While not charting for its composer, "Friend, Lover, Woman, Wife" went to number 25 on the Black Singles chart for O.C. Smith and number 18 on the Country Singles chart for Claude King in 1969.
