There Are Two Colours In My Head Quiz

My homage to, in my humble opinion, the best band in the world. Here are some of the lyrics from the six magnificent albums (and maybe, if I'm feeling cheeky, a couple of B-sides) of Oxford's Angels: Radiohead. I give the lyric, you give the song.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Let's start off nice and easy. "I want a perfect body. I want a perfect soul."

Answer: Creep

The song that made the band and nearly broke them. Radiohead performed 'Creep' live for the first time in seven years during their recent 'Hail to the Thief' tour.
2. "I get home from work and you're still standing in your dressing gown; well what am I to do?"

Answer: Black Star

One of the most underrated songs on 'The Bends', in my opinion. Also the first Radiohead song I learnt to play. Thom Yorke has been quoted as saying this song is about sex in the morning once you've both brushed your teeth.
3. "I'll take a quiet life, a handshake of carbon monoxide."

Answer: No Surprises

'No Surprises', a crowning pinnacle on the album 'OK Computer', is just a beautiful song, and also one of the few Radiohead tracks to gain some general popularity. I remember being in a bowling alley listening to repetetive and boring pop music from a compilation CD. Suddenly, out of nowhere, we were listening to 'No Suprises', that was superb.
4. "I walk through walls. I float down the Liffey."

Answer: How to Disappear Completely

The Liffey is a river in Dublin. The line was inspired by a dream Thom Yorke had. In competition with 'Idioteque' and 'The National Anthem' this is my favourite track on 'Kid A'.
5. "Don't talk politics and don't throw stones."

Answer: Life In a Glass House

The last track off of the 'Amnesiac' album. On the Radiohead documentary 'Meeting People Is Easy' you can hear an early version of this being played in the background of one of the interviews.
6. "With white elephants, sitting ducks."

Answer: I Will

'I Will', from Radiohead's most recent 'Hail To The Thief' album, is an amazing track. It's less than two minutes long and includes about five different vocal tracks from Thom Yorke all intermingling and overlapping. Now that's a musician!
7. Here comes a cheeky B-side! "I must get out once in a while. I eat all day and now I'm fat."

Answer: You Never Wash Up After Yourself

Another incredibly short track, this one from the EP released between 'Pablo Honey' and 'The Bends': 'My Iron Lung'. 'You Never Wash Up After Yourself' is about the traces left from a broken relationship. Such a simple descending bassline and wonderful poetic lyrics. One of my favourites, I wish I'd seen it live.
8. In the last few questions I won't be keeping all the possible answers from the same albums so it might get a bit trickier now. "Kill me Sarah, kill me again with love."

Answer: Lucky

'Lucky', from 'Ok Computer', made it to the lofty heights of number 53 in the UK charts. This hurt the band somewhat as they believed it to be the best song they'd recorded up to that point.
9. "Get the eggs, get the flan in the face."

Answer: Wolf At The Door

The final track on 'Hail To The Thief' seems to be about Thom Yorke's fears for his children's futures and his own abilities as a parent. The crescendos as the song reaches its peak are superb.
10. "Kicking and squealing gucci little piggy."

Answer: Paranoid Android

'Paranoid Android', the first single from 'Ok Computer' reached number 3 in the UK charts. The song is named after the monumentally depressed robot Marvin from Douglas Adam's popular 'Hitch Hiker's Guid To The Galaxy' series of novels. The line I quoted was apparently written about a woman in a Gucci dress having red wine spilt down it.
