With the guidance of Eminem, who discovered him, and Dr Dre, 50 Cent has become one of the best known rap stars.
He has had Billboard Hot 100 number ones in USA with "In Da Club" (2003), "21 Questions" (2003) and "Candy Shop" (2005) as well as the number one albums "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" (2003) and "The Massacre" (2005).
He is also well known as an actor, having appeared in the "Escape Plan" franchise of movies between 2013 and 2019, as well as in the boxing movie, "Southpaw" (2015), co-starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Forest Whitaker.

The reputation gained by Nines through his mixtapes and YouTube videos paid off as his debut album reached number four on the UK album chart.
This was followed by "Crop Circle" (2018) which climbed to number five and then in 2020, he hit the top spot with the number one album, "Crabs In A Bucket".

Answer: Aitch

Aitch takes his stage name from his real name of Harrison Armstrong and followed the success of "Taste (Make It Shake)" (2019) with "Buss Down" (2019) and "Rain" (2020), both of which were top ten hits in his native UK.
Aitch is a protege of Stormzy, who along with Ed Sheeran kept him off the top spot; in a strange twist of fate, there are several remixes of the Stormzy/Sheeran track, "Take Me Back To London" (2019).
One of these is the Sir Spyro remix, which also features rappers Jaykae and Aitch. If only this remix had been issued, Aitch could have been number one and number two in the charts.

Answer: Pitbull

Pitbull released his debut album, the highly regarded "M.I.A.M.I." in 2004 and had a Billboard Hot 100 top 20 hit in USA with it.
In 2010, he released "Armando" his first album mainly in Spanish, paying tribute to his Cuban roots and his actual name of Armando Perez.
By the time of his follow up album, "Planet Pit" (2011) he had widened his audience by appealing to more of a pop orientated audience, and as well as having his first US number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Give Me Everything", this also provided the catalyst for collaboration offers.
"Get Ready" (2020) featured Blake Shelton on guest vocals, as well as Joe Perry on guitar, and he appeared on Keith Urban's "Ripcord" album in 2016.
Backstreet Boys were one of the first non rap artists to work with Pitbull when he appeared on their 2009 album, "This Is Us" and in 2014, he appeared on the Santana album, "Corazon".

Answer: Chipmunk

After building his name by releasing mixtapes since 2005, Chipmunks found chart success immediately with his first album release in 2009, "I Am Chipmunk". This disc reached number two in the UK album charts and yielded four hit singles, the biggest of which was the chart topper, "Oopsy Daisy" (2009).
Chipmunk was just 15 years old when he released his first mixtape, and as a sign of his growing maturity, altered his name when in his early 20s to the much more sensible Chip.
Chip's real name is Jahmaal Fyffe.

Answer: Loon

Loon burst onto the scene in 2003 with his debut self titled album which was a top ten hit on the Billboard 200 chart in USA. Five years later it was all over as he found Islam, but not before he recorded tracks with stars such as P. Diddy, Kelis, Usher and Lenny Kravitz among others. Following his conversion to Islam, Loon relocated to Egypt, where he lived until 2011, when, while on a trip to Brussels he was arrested and subsequently extradited to USA for conspiracy with intent to traffic one or more kilograms of heroin. On being found guilty, he was sentenced to 14 years' imprisonment in July 2013 but was released early in July 2020 due to the COVID 19 pandemic taking hold in prisons.

Answer: Mustard

While the origin of the stage name of many rappers remains a mystery, having the real name of Dijon McFarlane made Mustard was an obvious choice for this guy.
Mustard began as a producer, working with Tyga on his 2011 hit, "Rack City" and has gone on to produce names such as 2 Chainz, Bow Wow, Snoop Dogg, Rihanna and Britney Spears.
He released his first album, "10 Summers" in 2014, and while it was not a huge hit, he had found success as a musician by 2019 with the album, "Perfect Ten" with was a top ten hit in USA on the Billboard 200.

Answer: Ice -T

"O.G. Original Gangster" (1991) is seen as a classic of the gangsta rap sub genre and the title track gave him a top ten single on the Billboard rap charts in USA.
Following his 1999 album, "The Seventh Sin", Ice-T's recording output has been sporadic as he concentrates on his acting career, which started taking off after his portrayal of Scotty Appleton in "New Jack City", the 1991 movie.
In the world of TV, he appeared in a few episodes of "New York Undercover" (1995) and "V.I.P," (1999) before achieving recognition as Fin Tutuola, a cop with the New York Police Department's Special Victims Unit, in the show "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit".

Answer: Domino

The album that "Getto Jam" was taken from, 1993's "Domino" was also a hit, peaking at number 39 on Billboard 200 in USA.
"Getto Jam" (1993) sampled "Sing a Simple Song" the 1968 track by Sly & the Family Stone, as did two other tracks on the album, "Long Beach Thang" and "Sweet Potato Pie".
"Sweet Potato Pie" was also released as a single and while not as successful as "Getto Jam", it did provide Domino with his second top 30 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Answer: Flo Rida

Flo Rida's debut album, "Mail On Sunday" (2008) was a huge hit and spawned the singles "Low" (2007) and "In The Ayer" (2008) which featured will.i.am.
"Low" was also featured on the soundtrack to teen movie, "Step Up 2: The Streets" (2008) which certainly did nothing to harm sales.
It seemed for a time as if "Low" was being played everywhere, and given that it was the most downloaded song of the 2000s, with over six million downloads, that may well be possible.
