"From Me to You" spent seven weeks at the top of the UK charts in 1963.

"She Loves You" spent four weeks at the top in September 1963 and then two weeks at the top in November 1963. "Please, Please Me" only made it to number two on the UK charts. "I Want to Hold Your Hand" spent five weeks at the top in December/January in 1963-64.

The Temperance Seven was formed in 1955 from students of the Chelsea School of Art and they had a number one hit in 1961 with "You're Driving Me Crazy". The Bachelors were an Irish group that hit the top of the charts with "Diane" in 1964. The Four Pennies was formed in Blackburn in a shop on Penny Street, hence the name. Their number one hit was "Juliet" in May 1964.
