Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. John, Paul, George, ----- ?

Answer: Ringo

How else could I start this quiz other than with the Fab Four. The Beatles.
2. Groucho, Chico, Harpo, ----- ?

Answer: Zeppo

Although there was also another brother by the name of Gummo, unlike Zeppo, he didn't transfer his talents to film. Zeppo however appeared in five Marx brothers films, 'Coconuts,' 'Animal Crackers,' 'Monkey Business,' 'Horse Feathers' and finally 'Duck Soup.' The films ranged from 1929 to 1933.
3. Charlotte, Emily, Anne, -------- ?

Answer: Branwell

Much over shadowed by his famous sisters, Branwell Bronte was also a writer and a painter. His portrait of his three sisters is the only opportunity we have to see them together. Whether he would have been as famous as his siblings is hard to say. He died in 1842 squandering what talent he had in a haze of drink and drugs.
4. David Owen, Shirley Williams, Roy Jenkins, ---- ------- ?

Answer: Bill Rodgers

They were known as 'the gang of four' when they resigned from the UK Labour party to set up the Social Democratic Party in 1981. At the start the new party had some support but it's links with the Liberals
and internal disagreement saw its demise a few years later.
5. Athos, Aramis, Porthos, ---------- ?

Answer: D'Artagnan

The first meeting between D'Artagnan and the others was hardly friendly. Challenges to duels are flung around, but in the end, the young hot-headed D'Artagnan was accepted into the world of the musketeer.
6. Honor Blackman, Diana Rigg, Joanna Lumley, ----- ------- ?

Answer: Linda Thorson

Linda Thorson was the third female sidekick to Patrick McNee's character John Steed in 'The Avengers.' Unlike her predecessors, the character of Tara King was far softer but didn't attract as much interest. The series ended in 1969. In 1976 'The New Avengers' came to the screen, yet in spite of Joanna Lumley's character Purdy spawning a hairstyle that was copied by the million, its time seemed to have passed, for the UK series ended in 1977.
7. Meg, Jo, Beth, --- ?

Answer: Amy

They are of course the four sisters in Louisa May Alcott's 'Little Women.' The novel was first published in 1869 and has since become an American classic. 'Little Women' has been filmed in 1949 and again in 1994. There were also four earlier versions.
8. Guy Burgess, Donald MacLean, Kim Philby, ------- ----- ?

Answer: Anthony Blunt

When in the 1950s three Cambridge university academics, Burgess, MacLean and Philby defected to Russia after working for the KGB for years, it was always believed they left behind a fourth man. In 1979 that fourth man was identified as Sir Anthony Blunt, aristocrat and 'Surveyor of the Queens pictures.' In due course he was stripped of his knighthood and all other honours.

He died in 1983.

Answer: Ben Grimm

The Fantastic Four superheroes appeared together in the Marvel comics from 1961. They was Reed Richards as 'Mister Fantastic.' Ben Grimm as 'The Thing.' Sue Storm who began as 'Invisible Girl' that later changed to 'Invisible Woman.' And then her younger brother, Johnny Storm, as the 'Human Torch.'

The four women were all married to Frank Sinatra. Nancy was his childhood sweetheart and they married in 1939. He married Ava Gardner in 1951, then in 1966 his third wife was Mia Farrow. Franks final trip down the aisle was in 1976 when he married Barbara Marx, the ex wife of Zeppo Marx.
