Victoria came to the British throne at the age of 18 upon the death of her uncle King William IV June 20, 1837. She reigned for 63 years and 216 days - longer than any British monarch before her. She married Albert, had nine children, saw most of her grandchildren married into the royal houses of Europe. As a result she was dubbed the "Grandmother of Europe".

Answer: Lady Jane Grey

The Lady Jane Grey came to the throne at the age of 16, following Edward VI's untimely death. It was July 10, 1553. She was forced to marry Guilford Dudley, the elder brother of Robert Dudley, the favorite of Queen Elizabeth I.

Jane made it clear that she reluctantly accepted the crown, but refused to crown Guilford King or King Consort. She would make him a duke instead causing him to run and cry to his mother. The Duchess of Northumberland forbade him to be with Jane as husband and wife. Jane's nine day reign came to an end when Mary I seized control, making her the first crowned Queen of England. It was July 19, 1553.

Henry VI was 38 weeks and three days old when his father Henry V died. Long ago, Henry V had married Catherine of France, had himself declared Regent of France and sole heir to the French throne. Henry V died before this could occur. After King Charles of France died this made Henry VI King of England and France all before he was a year old.

Answer: Henry I
