Answer: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez, known as "J. Lo" by the media, was born on this day in 1969 in the Castle Hill neighbourhood of The Bronx in New York. She got her break into films playing the lead role in the biopic "Selena" in 1997. In 1999 she released her first music album "On the 6".

Her personal life has attracted a lot of attention and she has been linked with actor Ben Affleck, media mogul Sean Combs and dancer Cris Judd. In 2010 she joined the judging panel of "American Idol".
2. American aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart was born on 24th July 1897. She became the first female aviator to fly solo over which body of water?

Answer: Atlantic Ocean

In 1928 Earhart made aviation history by becoming the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She was awarded the US Distinguished Flying Cross for this feat. In 1937 she attempted to complete a circumnavigational flight of the globe accompanied by navigator Fred Noonan.

She disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean near Howard Island, just north of the equator. After an extensive search no trace of the aircraft or its occupants were found.

Danny began his acting career at 16 after being discovered by a talent agent. He played the part of Martin Fletcher in Granada Television's "Prime Suspect 3" in 1993. He has made several appearances on television in episodes of a variety of programmes.

He initially turned down a role in "Eastenders" in 2009. He has also made appearances in several films including Ray Cooney's "Run for Your Wife" which critics described as "one of the worst British films of all time".

Bolivar was heavily influenced by the ideas of John Locke and the philosophers of the 18th century French Enlightenment, who he was introduced to during his education in Europe. In 1818 he raised an army, crossed the Andes and established the independence of Colombia and later Venezuela. In 1822 he liberated Ecuador and took command of the Peruvian army. He died of tuberculosis in 1830.

The series ran for nine seasons and ended in 1998.
