Jenson was awarded the freedom of the town of Frome in Somerset in May 2010 in recognition of his achievements. He has a street named after him in the town, Jenson Avenue, and there are also plans to name a new bridge in his honour.

King George VI died in February 1952 and Elizabeth was crowned queen in Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953.
