Answer: T.E. Lawrence

T E Lawrence wrote "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom", which gave his account of his experiences during the Arab Revolt of 1917-1918 where he was based as a liason member of British Armed Forces.

The title comes from the Book of Proverbs, and I quote from the KJV version "Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars".

It is not known who "S.A." referred to, but it is popularly thought to refer to Selim Ahmed, a teenage Arab lad.

Ravel once considered "Bolero" "trivial" and described it as "a piece for orchestra without music".

I wonder what he would have made of the Torvill and Dean dance?
