Answer: Rupert Davies

Rupert Davies (1916-1976) was an English actor of stage, film and television. During WWII he was a POW in Stalag Luft III, the famed POW camp of "The Great Escape". While in the camp he begaan to get involved in theatre performances for his fellow prisoners. Once returning to England after the war he began his professional career in acting.

He is best remembered as Commissaire Jules Maigret, the fictional French police detective, created by the Belgian writer Georges Simonen (1903-1989) in the BBC television 50-minute crime series "Maigret" (1959-1963).

In 1962 Rupert Davies won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actor.
2. Australian-American media mogul

Rupert Murdock (b. 1931) was born in Melbourne, Australia and after running an Adelaide newspaper owned by his father, began acquiring a number of newspapers in Australia and New Zealand in the 1950s and 1960s then moved into the UK market in 1969. He relocated to the USA in 1974 and was obliged to take out a US citizenship in 1985 to meet the legal requirements for US television network ownership.

He designed the famed black dress for Audrey Hepburn in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and she also became the face of his perfume collection in 1954.
