He said, "Are you still sleeping? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, my betrayer is at hand." (Matthew 26:45-46)
5. Who was the disciple who betrayed Jesus to the Romans, according to Matthew's description of the events leading up to his crucifixion in the KJV Bible?

Judas was the one who betrayed Jesus: for money, or possibly because he disagreed with the direction Jesus' ministry was taking. Then after Jesus was taken away, Judas hanged himself.
6. Who was Jesus handed over to after facing Sanhedrin, according to Matthew's description of the events leading up to his crucifixion in the KJV Bible?

Answer: Pontius Pilate

Jesus was handed over to the governor, Pontius Pilate. Pilate asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus replied, "It is as you say" (Matthew 27:11). Then they brought out a notorious prisoner named Barabbas. Pilate said to the crowd, "Whom do you want me to release to you? Barabbas or Jesus who is called Christ?" (Matthew 27:17) They all replied, "Barabbas!" Then Pilate said "What shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?" They all shouted out, "Let him be crucified!" Pilate asked what evil Jesus had done, but the crowd kept crying out, "Crucify him! Crucify him!" (Matthew 27:21-23)
7. What color was the robe that the soldiers put on Jesus when they were preparing him to be crucified, according to Matthew's description of the events in the KJV Bible?

Answer: scarlet

It says that "the soldiers took Jesus to the Praetorium and stripped him of his clothes and put a scarlet robe on him. Then they twisted a crown of thorns into his head and whipped him and spat on him. They mocked him saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"" (Matthew 27:29) Some other versions of the Bible describe the robe as purple.
8. What was the name of the man that the soldiers compelled to bear Jesus's cross, according to Matthew's description of the events leading up to his crucifixion in the KJV Bible?

Answer: Simon

It said, "The soldiers came out and found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross. They went to a place called Golgotha, that is also called Place of a Skull. They gave Jesus sour wine and they crucified him. Then they divided his clothes among themselves."
9. Whose tomb was Jesus buried in, according to Matthew's description of the events around his crucifixion in the KJV Bible?

Answer: Joseph's

After Jesus died on the cross the soldiers brought him to Joseph's tomb and placed him in it. Then they rolled a big stone in front of it and Pilate set a guard to watch it. Then the day after the Sabbath, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.

While they were there, there was a great earthquake and an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled back the stone. Then he said, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead and indeed He is going before you into Galilee: there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you." (Matthew 28:5-7).

Then the women left quickly from the tomb, scared, but with great joy.

They ran to bring the disciples the word.
10. Where did Jesus tell the disciples to meet him after he had risen from the grave, according to Matthew's description of the events leading up to his crucifixion in the KJV Bible?

Answer: Galilee

The eleven disciples went to a mountain in Galilee and met Jesus there. Jesus said to them, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20) This was known as the Great Commission. Jesus wanted his disciples to go out and bring people to the Lord and make them disciples too.

He wanted to create a great kingdom of the Lord. According to the teachings of most Christian churches, this whole story of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection is one of the most profound stories in the Bible.

It tells of how Jesus gave his life for our sins. He could have stopped the torture at any time, but he let it continue, so we would not have to go through torture for our sins. He took the pain and sorrow that we should have been receiving. According to Christian tradition, if it weren't for him, the world would be a living torment for everyone who sinned. And that is every single person on this earth. Nobody is perfect, the only perfect one is Jesus Christ, the one who died for us all.
