This was the first time Arkansas had been invited to this bowl. The Hogs played against the Michigan Wolverines and lost by a score of 45-31.
2. Who held the position of defensive coordinator in 1998?

Answer: Keith Burns and Bobby Allen

The only NCAA school at the time to have co-coordinators.
3. What position on the field did Clifton Ealy coach in 1998?

Answer: Both of these

Coach Ealy would leave the school after the 1999 season, then return to in 2004 to coach tight ends.
