This was the closet grand final since 1989. Brisbane 10.15 (75) defeated Collingwood 9.12(66).
2. James Hird suffered an unbelievable facial injury, when his face collided with the knee of an Essendon teammate. Which teammate did that knee belong to?

This injury saw James Hird miss seven games.
