Winfield played for San Diego from 1973-1980 then was granted free agency. The Yankees scooped him up and he played in the pinstripes until 1990. From there it was the Angels, Blue Jays, Twins, and Indians, then retiring in 1995. Dave was a 12-time all-star and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001.
