1. He won the first modern Grand Prix World Championship, in 1950.

Answer: Farina

Giuseppe Farina won the first official World Championship in 1950 driving an Alfa Romeo. He had started racing in 1932. After WWII he drove a Maserati, winning the 1948 Monaco Grand Prix, then rejoined Alfa two years later and won three Grands Prix. He was killed in a road accident on his way to the French Grand Prix in 1966.
2. Fangio held the record for most F1 World Championships until Michael Schumacher broke the record in which year?

Answer: 2003

Schumacher broke Alain Prost's record of fifty-one Grand Prix victories in 2001, and secured his seventh World Championship title at the 2004 Belgian Grand Prix. He equalled Fangio's record of 5 world titles in 2002 and took his 6th in 2003.
3. This driver was the first to win two modern F1 World Championships in a row.

Answer: Alberto Ascari

Alberto was the son of Antonio Ascari, who drove for Alfa Romeo until his death in the French GP at Montlhery in 1925. Alberto won every championship Grand Prix race in which he drove in 1952 driving for Ferrari, and also won the title in 1953.
