Michael Schumacher won the 2000 Australian Grand Prix, it was the first time he had won in Melbourne. Rubens Barrichello finished second to give Ferrari a 1-2 and Ralf Schumacher finished third for BMW Williams. It was the fifth race to be held at the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne after moving from Adelaide in 1996.
