His 346 goals for Liverpool would make him their all-time goalscorer. Rush was also the Wales record goalscorer until Gareth Bale would best his 28 goals in 2018.

The Brazilian didn't just make headlines with his goalscoring exploits, but with his haircut too. Ronaldo revealed that everyone was talking about his injury heading into the tournament, so he shaved his head but left a triangle, so people would talk about his wacky hairstyle instead.

While Argentina never achieved World Cup glory with Batistuta in the side, it was through no fault of the Argentine talisman, who would score 10 goals in just 12 FIFA World Cup tournament appearances. Batistuta would score 54 goals in 77 appearances for La Albiceleste, since bested by one of the greatest footballers of all time, Lionel Messi.
