The original captain of the Mariners, Iro also played for Manly-Warringah and South Sydney.
2. I joined from Illawarra, I left for Newcastle. Who am I?

Answer: Neil Piccinelli

An incredibly underrated and skilful 2nd rower, Piccinelli was one of the Mariners best players.
3. I joined the Mariners from Western Suburbs, and then I left for Sydney City Roosters. Who am I?

Dooley started off at the Roosters, then left for Wests but ended up going back to the Roosters after the collapse of the Mariners.

Hunter was one of 7 clubs for Tyran, who has also played for South Sydney, North Qld, Auckland, Balmain, Wests Tigers and Canberra as well as the New Zealand national team.

Godden played for Australia's victorious team at the 1992 world cup, but lost form and finished his career in Australia with the Mariners.

Zisti was the top point and try scorer for the Mariners, but his career went downhill after leaving.

Ross was rated as an outstanding prospect, and lived up to that by playing for New South Wales and Australia and finishing as the competition's leading try scorer in Melbourne's remarkable premiership win in 1999 (it was their second year in the NRL).

A tough front rower, Brann had a good season for Hunter but failed to make a real impact after leaving.

Beauchamp started at Illawarra before joining Newcastle in 1996. He scored 7 tries for Hunter but couldn't manage a regular first grade spot when he went to the Dragons.

Answer: Darrien Doherty

Doherty had a remarkable career where he played for 7 clubs, despite only playing 67 first grade games. As well as the Mariners, he also played for Penrith, West Suburbs, Canterbury-Bankstown, Illawarra, Adelaide and North Queensland without ever really cementing a first grade spot.
