Answer: 25th November 1952, Lahore, Pakistan

Imran Khan Niazi was born in the Punjab. He was the only boy and fifth child in the family. He represented the Lahore Cricket Association, Lahore City Cricket Association, and Pakistan International Airlines, amongst other Pakistani teams.

Imran Khan attended the prestigious public school, Aitchison College, in Lahore. He was educated at Oxford University where he took a degree in politics, philosophy, and economics.

Eight of Imran Khan's cousins became first class cricketers. Majid Khan and Javed Burki both captained Pakistan. Majid Khan played in 63 test matches between 1964 and 1983, scoring 3931 runs and taking 27 wickets. Javed Burki played between 1960 and 1969, scoring 1314 runs.
4. Imran Khan made his test debut against England in which year?

When he played in his first test match, Imran was 18 years old. He did not have a very successful debut as he scored 5 runs, took one catch and no wickets. He did not play in another test until 1974, also against England. He went on to play in 88 test matches.

Imran Khan made his top score in One Day Internationals (102*) against Sri Lanka in the 1983 World Cup in England. This was in his 15th ODI. His batting average was 33.41 and his bowling average 26.61.

Imran's last One Day International was the 1992 World Cup Final. Pakistan won this match against England by 22 runs. Imran scored 72 runs, including a six and five fours, before being caught by Illingworth off the bowling of Ian Botham. Ironically, when Pakistan bowled, he captured Illingworth's wicket, finishing with 1-43.

Imran started the party, whose name means 'The Movement For Justice' in 1996. His status as a world famous sportsman has enabled him to have an opportunity to try to address what he sees as problems in his home country.

Answer: His mother

Imran Khan's mother died of cancer and, despite efforts to get her treated in Pakistan, Imran could find no suitable hospital to treat her. He therefore founded a hospital to provide such care for others needing it. He raised the money to build and fund the hospital, and those who could not afford to pay for their treatment were treated without charge.
