1. Johnny Weir accomplished a major achievement during the 2006 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships which took place in St. Louis, Missouri. What was this accomplishment?

Answer: Johnny won this third consecutive Senior Men's title at this event

Johnny held on to win his third consecutive Senior Men's title, despite a somewhat subpar performance in the Long Program. His lead after a brilliant Short Program turned out to be enough to hold off a strong challenge from Evan Lycacek. Johnny had struggled with his Long Program all season. Following this National Championship, Johnny abandoned the program and returned to the Otonal long program that he had performed with great success during the previous skating season.
2. Johnny had been with the same coach throughout most of his ice skating career. Who was Johnny's primary coach?

Johnny and Priscilla had developed a strong working relationship during their 10 years together -- 1996 to 2007. Ms. Hill was the first United States Senior Ladies competitor to land the triple loop jump in competition.
3. How old was Johnny when he first began to ice skate?

10. Johnny had one extremely difficult U.S. Nationals competition. During the 2003 event, which took place in Dallas, Johnny chose to withdraw. Why?

Answer: He was injured while skating his long program

Johnny was well placed after skating his short program. He experienced problems within the first 30 seconds of performing his long program. While skating backwards, Johnny ran into the boards and fell. He was permitted to begin the program again from the point of the fall.

He appeared shaken as he continued to skate. Johnny fell again while attempting to complete a triple axel jump. The fall injured his knee. At that point Johnny made the decision to stop the program and to withdraw from the event.

The following year, Johnny using the same long program music, won his first Senior Men's Championship.
